Autumn News!

The Friends have been busy supporting the work of the Mansion over the summer by volunteering and helping organise events. Members can read more about these events in the last newsletter, as well as the next one. If you’d like to read more, please join us to receive your copy of the newsletter!

You may also spot a few new acquisitions provided by the Friends next time you visit. Please note, from 7th October, Open Days with free entry will be every Sunday and Monday.

Now our first event of the Autumn season is only two weeks away, so we hope to see you there. Details below and on the Events tab!

Guided Tours will give you a taste of the different eras of the Mansion’s history and the different families who lived here, from 1696 to 1906 and beyond.

A friendly reminder to existing members that The Friends’ next Event is on 17th October, so just over two weeks away. The perfect time to ring Cherry on 020 8554 2414 to book, or click the link for an evening of socialising and entertainment in the form of a talk by Vivyan Ellacott. Guaranteed to be full of surprises and laughs! Click here for more details and to book.

Which of Vivyan’s many entertaining (and true!) stories
will he share with us?
Above: Chris Keates, new Friend and Volunteer, entertaining children in The Gallery at the Mansion’s Birthday Party in August.
(Over the summer, The Gallery hosted a fabulous exhibition by the resident Artists, celebrating a “Decade” since the restoration. Chris appears undaunted at being pecked by one of the exhibits!)
