The Friends in a registered charity. The very first restoration project funded by our members was the kitchen range. Now that the neglected Mansion has been brought back to life, we continue to support the house. More than £40,000 has been spent on acquiring and refurbishing individual items, with more spending in the pipeline. If you visit the Raymond Room you will already see many additions to this Lady’s Bookcase as part of our ongoing project to research and transform the Raymond Room to reflect the period 1754-1788 when Valentine House was owned and lived in by Sir Charles Raymond and his family.
Where can some of these items be seen?

The Friends welcome all the developments in the grounds and historic gardens of the Mansion, such as the Owl who appeared at entrance to walled kitchen garden, expertly carved from the stump of a sadly dead sycamore tree.
